Oregon – Our First Record: As the title denotes, this was indeed the first recording of the Oregon band recorded in 1970, but for the reasons unknown, it was abandoned/scrapped and Oregon went on to record “Music of Another Present Era” in 1972. Thankfully, this unreleased album was issued through Vanguard records in 1982. Needless to say excellent music featuring Collin Walcott, Ralph Towner, Paul McCandless, Glen Moore and all of them were former band mates of Paul Winter Consort. Enjoy this beautiful one if you haven’t yet, especially its one of the finest hours of Collin Walcott who played beautiful Sitar and Tabla solos on this one. 🎼🎼
